MY EXPERIENCE

I started providing counselling for mental health issues in 2003 after finishing my Diploma of Professional Counselling. I went on to obtain a Honours Degree in Psychological Science, and wrote articles for online magazines discussing the practicalities and processes for delivering therapy in the online medium.

I provided online services for 15 years. I had always suspected I had ADHD, but never sought a diagnosis.

I then obtained a Masters of Social Work, and began work managing complex alcohol and drug presentations in a rehab. It was at this time Covid-19 hit, and the stress of the job, and the pandemic left me overwhelmed, and I found my ADHD symptoms unmanageable through behavioural intervention alone. I sought a diagnosis.

I have always enjoyed research, and am now applying for a PhD in Psychology focusing on women with ADHD.

Since then, I have been interested in providing counselling services and coaching to those with ADHD, in which I have lived experience, and the background expertise to implement both behavioural intervention, counselling, and provide resources and strategies for managing ADHD.

It has been a long journey to arrive here at both my diagnosis, but also to find my area of passion. I love talking to, helping, and working with adults with ADHD. Especially newly diagnosed adults with ADHD.

I believe in starting from where you are, and helping you move forward towards your goals, in a way that is comfortable, but also effective. Your story matters to me, and I'm here to help and assist how I can.
